IndyHAX 2026, sposnsored by George Mason University’s Department of Cyber Security Engineering, brought together high school students to showcase their cybersecurity skills, creativity, and teamwork through a hybrid hackathon and capture-the-flag competition.

George Mason's Anomadarshi Barua will present research on using AI and chaos theory to rebuild missing pieces of speech at one of the world’s leading conferences on natural language processing.

Mason Competitive Cyber teamwon first place at the ninth annual Commonwealth Cyber Fusion and Virginia Cyber Cup. The high‑intensity, four‑hour capture‑the‑flag competition showcased their skill, teamwork, and growing leadership in Virginia’s cybersecurity community.
