Career Opportunities

Outstanding Jobs

After graduation, our students land outstanding jobs in the greater Washington, D.C. area with industry, government, military, and other institutions. Mason students who are graduating with our degrees in our cyber security engineering program are working as cyber associates, cybersecurity engineers, security analysts, network engineers, and cloud security engineers.

They are working for organizations such as Deloitte Booz Allen Hamilton, Capital One, GDIT, Leidos, and Verizon.

Demand for our graduates has never been higher. From 2018-2020, Mason has had more than 8,000 opportunities posted in Handshake––Mason’s student job and internship platform––for students with a cybersecurity major who wanted to work in job functions related to information technology or web/software engineering.

One group suggests that the global cybersecurity workforce shortage will reach upwards of 1.8 million unfilled positions by 2022. Many other reports put that number above 3 million.
